Today my mother came over to help me line the cabinets in the kitchen. I actually remembered to take before and after pics too. Here they are. Before we lined them, they had this ugly yellow with gold lines all over it paper. They had covered the front of the wood shelves and everything. We had to scrape it all off the front because I like to be able to see the wood. We applied new light tan marbled lining to the shelves. I think it looks wonderful. What do you think?

Looks much better. May I ask why people line their shelves? Is it strictly for decoration? Just curious.
Umm I am not sure. We have had some shelves lined and some shelves not lined in my life. I believe in one aspect it is for decoration, but the house we purchased is a little older and the cabinets appear to have been homemade. Underneath the lining that is already there, it doesn't look very pretty. I just feel that my dishes will be cleaner when I put them in there if I line the shelves. *shrug*
