Day #5

Sorry we took a few days off. We have been very busy.


We have had to take William to the hospital every day this week to get his bilirubin count done. He finally hit the magic number for the need of a bili blanket yesterday. He is doing very well and improving fairly quickly. I got a call from the doctor's office this morning telling us that we can take him off the bili blanket tomorrow morning and he will not have to repeat it or anything like that! yay


Today was my first day alone with William because Jason had to go back to work. We did very well (I think). My brother and grandma came to help us out this morning and take us to get his bilirubin done at the hospital. Thank you grandma and Richard! After coming home, I ate and said good bye to my family. It was time for the little one to eat. After feeding William, we both took a little nap. Well, he took a longer nap than I did. After getting him up, it was time to eat yet again. (Sheesh, seems like all he does is eat, sleep, and poop... Oh wait, that is what he is supposed to do. Duh!) He is still nursing very well. That makes me very happy. I am not having to suppliment any more either. Not that he was doing poorly with that, but I just didn't like having to give him formula and breast milk.


After Jason came home this evening, he was very happy to take William from me and love on him. He said he was having baby withdrawls. I don't blame him. I can't imagine leaving him at this point. Jason has taken time to watch over William the rest of the evening.


It is finally bedtime for us. Hopefully tonight is just as good as last night. He slept all night long only waking for 1 poopy diaper and feeding times.


He truely is a blessing to our family and the best baby in the world!
